Book review: The knife of never letting go

The knife of never letting go

Chaos Walking - Wikipedia

  Author: Patrick Ness
Blurb:

PRENTISSTOWN IS NOT LIKE OTHER TOWNS!!
Everyone can hear everyone else's thoughts in an overwhelming, never-ending stream of noise. Just a month away from the birthday that will make him a man, Todd and his dog, Manchee---whose thoughts Todd can hear too, whether he wants to or not--stumble upon an area of complete silence. They find that in a town where privacy is impossible, something terrible has been hidden--a secret so awful  that Todd and Manchee must run for their lives. But how do you escape when your pursuers can hear your every thought.

Recommendation- I would recommend this book for 11+ and out of 5 starts I would rate a 4 1/2 stars because it is a little frightening.

  1. Kia ora Taylor, the books sounds really interesting. It would be very scary to live in a place where others can hear your thoughts. I will suggest this book to my students. Thank you for the review.

  2. Hi Taylor

How are you doing during this Level 4? I hope there are some fun thing happening at your house!

This is a really great book review that you have written. This is a good book! Definitely one for the older primary students. Great that you have given it a go though!

Remember to go and check out the Totara site for some of the fun things that you can do during this time. I really like the look of the fun things the teacher have come up for you to do! I might try making the biscuits! Yum!
I look forward to reading some of your work that you post during the next few weeks. Remember to post photos of things you create or do as well so that we can all see what you are up to!

    Talk again soon!
